Moon Dust Theatre was created in the autumn 2021 by Philippe Gaulier trained performer Annabel Bashford. She discovered, through volunteering, that she loved to cocreate theatre with adults with disabilities.  She also discovered that her training and experience in comic improvisation and clown really helped her to connect and create in this context. 

Annabel is passionate about making arts for all and making artists of us all. With over twenty years of experience performing live comedy she has performed on stage at The Soho theatre, The Waredrobe Theatre and took part in The London Clown Festival. 

In 2021 Moon Dust Theatre's first Arts Council England funded project Old Stinker was hugely successful with participants & audiences alike.

She then went on to gain more funding for a second community show and then again for her Developing Your Creative Practice award. This lead her to America to further her clown training with the unstoppable Deanna Fleysher and started learning British Sign Language which she plans to intergrate into her work as a clown.
